Technology at Temecula Dental Implants and Oral Surgery

Compared to a traditional dental or an oral surgery practice, our clinic is equipped with modern technology and has a fully digitalized workflow which allows Dr. Tsvetov to place implants and restore your smile in just one day. We don’t need to refer you out to different specialists or outsource any dental lab work to external dental labs. In our office, we control the process from start to finish to ensure the best possible experience and outcome for our patients. The newest technology allows us to custom manufacture brand-new smiles for our patients on the day of the surgery. Imagine yourself coming in in the morning with bad teeth and leaving our office a few hours later with a brand-new smile!

Preparing for the procedure with our precise tech

During an initial implant consultation, we take a 2-dimensional panoramic X-ray, a CT scan, as well as a patient facial scan. This 3D system steps away from conventional spiral CT scanners by using cone beam CT technology, producing high-quality images while reducing radiation exposure. A 3D image allows us to clearly see the bone level and bone health to diagnose potential issues more accurately and provide treatment with unprecedented confidence.

A Facial scan shows the current situation and helps realistically project how a patient will look with a brand-new smile after their implant surgery.

Our innovative approach relies on the latest technology

The actual surgery for placing implants hasn’t changed much—it’s still performed the way it’s been done for some time now. What has changed are the technologies that are used to make the dental bridge. There are now three new methodologies used for this purpose.

Photogrammetry

The first technology, photogrammetry, involves a specialized 3D camera that captures the exact position of dental implants in three-dimensional space. Think of it as a sophisticated photograph that records the precise 3D coordinates of new dental implants. This technology enables us to place the implants in the areas with the best bone density, rather than relying on pre-made surgical guides that might not guarantee the best surgical outcome. Once the implants are in place, photogrammetry captures their positions with high precision, ensuring the new dental bridge fits perfectly.

Intraoral Digital Scanning

The second technology we use is intraoral digital scanning. This method allows us to capture precise digital impressions of all the soft tissues in the patient’s mouth, avoiding the messy and uncomfortable putty used in traditional impressions.

This process integrates two essential pieces of data within an advanced dental software, which allows for the precise customization of the patient’s new teeth – all based on their individual anatomical characteristics.

3D Printing

Once the design is complete, the temporary teeth are created using a 3D printer—our third key technology—using high-quality dental materials. After the printing is finished, the teeth are carefully processed, polished, and glazed before being fitted into the patient’s mouth.

Finally, after implants are fully fused into a patient’s jawbone, we are able to mill a single implant crown or the whole arch of PMMA or Zirconia teeth in our in-house lab.

Protecting you with easy sugar checks & L-PRF technology

Apart from using digital technology, we can check a patient’s sugars with a single blood drop and determine the A1C within a few minutes. This is extremely useful for patients who have diabetes and might be at risk of implants not healing well if their sugars are poorly controlled.

Further, we always use L-PRF technology during the implant placement surgery to enhance the healing process. Leukocyte-Platelet Rich Fibrin (L-PRF) utilizes your body’s natural healing capabilities to accelerate bone growth. Thanks to a quick blood draw and the latest technology, we formulate L-PRF directly from your own cells. The outcome? Faster healing and significantly shorter recovery.
